Newsletter: Reflecting on 2025

As I look back over this past year, my heart is full. It has been a year of big changes, beautiful ministry moments, and so many reminders of God’s faithfulness. And through it all, you have been part of this journey — praying, encouraging, and supporting the work God has called me to.

One of the biggest milestones for me personally was becoming an FMWM missionary this year. This step has meant so much, and I am grateful for everyone who has walked with me through the transition. Thank you for believing in this calling and in the work happening here in Hungary.

Serving as a support pastor for the Budapest Free Methodist Church and for the Győr English Christian Ministries has brought me so much joy. I’ve preached, translated, prayed, laughed, and cried with these communities — and watched them grow in their understanding of justice and compassion.

Some highlights this year:

- Helping the churches learn more about human trafficking and how we can respond as followers of Jesus
- Collecting vitamins and practical gifts for children in state care
- Bringing church members into the Children’s Home ministry
- Seeing people discover that justice work isn’t “somewhere else” — it’s right here in our own neighborhoods

These churches are becoming communities where faith meets action, and I am so thankful.

As the coordinator of Set Free Hungary, my heart continues to be with vulnerable children and young people across the country.

This year included:

- Ministry in children’s homes
- Supporting a safe home for mothers and their children
- Prevention presentations in schools and — excitingly — two of the main universities in Hungary
- Training professionals who meet vulnerable youth every day
- Summer camp for vulnerable children
- The European Freedom Network Conference
- The “5000 Steps for the Victims of Human Trafficking” walk - reaching thousands of people and the media about the issue of human trafficking through this event .

Everywhere I went, I saw the same thing: young people are hungry for truth, clarity, and hope. And teachers and professionals are desperate for practical tools to protect them.

One of the things I’m most grateful for is the impact of our Human Trafficking Prevention Booklet. To date, we have distributed over 800 copies in schools, churches, and children’s homes across Hungary.

Students tell me things like:

“I didn’t know this could happen to people my age.”
“Now I understand how traffickers use social media.”
“I feel safer knowing what to watch for.”

Hearing those words reminds me why prevention matters so much.

Finally, let me say thank you! Your prayers, your encouragement, your generosity, and your friendship mean more than I can say. You are part of every presentation I give, every child I spend time with, and every step toward freedom. Thank you for standing with me — and with the children and communities of Hungary.

Wishing you and your families a Blessed Advent and Merry Christmas.

With gratitude,
 Zsuzsi

2.  Church Leadership: I will have pastoral responsibilities in the Budapest church as well as serving as co-pastor of the international church in Győr.
Financial Support: Contributions to my international missionary support account provide for my salary and the essential operating expenses of the Hungarian Set Free Movement, ensuring both the ministry and the anti-trafficking work can continue.
