Thoughts and Prayers for 2026: A Fresh Start
The year has begun wrapped in snow.
Everything feels quieter, softer—almost like creation itself is taking a deep breath. Snow has a way of covering what was messy, loud, or worn out and reminding us that new beginnings are possible. As I watch my son run, laugh, and throw himself joyfully into the snow, I’m reminded of something simple and holy: joy is still here. God is still at work.
As we step into 2026, my heart is full of gratitude, expectation, and prayer.

A Year of Fresh Starts and Open Doors
This year already feels like an invitation—to slow down, to listen more closely, and to walk faithfully through the doors God opens. I’m praying for a year where ministry is not just busy, but fruitful.
-
That many children will be reached—not just with information, but with hope, safety, and love.
-
That new believers will come to know Jesus and find a place where they belong.
-
That old believers will be strengthened, encouraged, and reminded why they first said yes to following Christ.
More than anything, I’m praying that we would all grow deeper.
A Deeper Walk With God.
This is a prayer for me too.
In the middle of planning, serving, traveling, and leading, I want 2026 to be a year of more intentional time with God. Not rushed prayers. Not leftover moments. But space—real space—to listen, to be renewed, and to be changed.
Because ministry flows best when it flows from His presence, not away from it.
Looking Ahead: Seeds We’re Planting
As we look toward the months ahead, there are already seeds of hope being planted:
-
A summer VBS, serving together with a team from one of our USA partner churches—praying for unity, joy, and lasting impact in the lives of children and team members.
-
Outreach events throughout the year, creating opportunities to connect, listen, and serve our communities.
-
And in October, a Walk for the Victims of Human Trafficking, praying it will successfully happen again in Budapest and that it will raise awareness, compassion, and action for those whose voices are so often unheard.
Each plan is held with open hands, trusting God to guide, adjust, and lead.
Walking Forward With Hope
The snow will melt. The year will get busy. Challenges will come.
But today—at the start of 2026—I choose hope. I choose gratitude. I choose to believe that God is already ahead of us, preparing hearts, opening doors, and calling us deeper.
May this be a year marked by joy, faithfulness, and lives changed—including our own.

A wonderful NewYear post. It echoes many of my thoughts so I pray for both of us. May God bring the fruit for which we pray and work.
